Designed and patented in the U.K., No. 04096087, this clever device uses the Venturi system to suck dirt, silt, dead leaves and other debris from the bottom of your pond, depositing it in the filter bag attached. The filtered and clear water then passes through back into the pond.
- Will clean and vacuum debris from ponds up to 4ft deep.
- Suction affect controlled by your tap water pressure (min. 5psi*).
- Harmless to fish and pond life.
- Environmentally friendly.
- Pond debris makes excellent garden fertiliser
Instructions for use
1. Attach your garden hose to the inlet nozzle of the Tornado PondVac Pond Vacuum Cleaner.
2. Attach the telescopic shaft.
3. Tie the filter bag firmly round the exit nozzle.
4. Place the Tornado PondVac Pond Vacuum Cleaner in the area that requires cleaning and turn on the water tap. The water pressure can be controlled by turning the tap from half on to full on to suit the amount of suction required.
5. Simply roll the Tornado PondVac Pond Vacuum Cleaner across the bottom of the pond.
6. Empty the filter bag when it is three quarters full, rinse and replace.
Your Tornado PondVac can be used twice a year depending on the amount of fish and debris your pond collects.
NOTE
- The efficiency of the PondVac is dependent on your water pressure. Most mains water is around 10psi, if this drops below 5psi, it will not work efficiently.
Your PondVac is fitted with a non-return valve, this is to prevent any pond water siphoning back along your garden hose in the event of a sudden loss of water pressure e.g. due to a mains water failure.
Please disconnect your hosepipe from your outside tap after use.
The filter bag may be held more firmly in place with the use of a large elastic band around the rim, particularly when the bag becomes full and heavy with debris.
To prevent hose causing obstruction, use the tie cable supplied to fasten hose to handle of PondVac Pond Vacuum Cleaner.
To work effectively, the bag does not have to be immersed in water.
